City of Burnside is committed to conserving its local biodiversity. Our volunteers have been busy growing thousands of local native plants at The Shed Biodiversity Nursery. This winter we will be offering wildflowers, shrubs and trees to our residents for planting in their gardens, private creeks or hills face properties.
Local natives are species that have grown in the Burnside area for thousands of years. Planting local natives is the best way to encourage birds and beneficial insects to your garden.
